Meet Katrina Hodgson
Fitness & MS Lifestyle Coach, Personal Trainer, Host, and Competitor
Katrina Hodgson is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. She is also a group fitness instructor with the American Aerobic Association of America.
Katrina's training technique focuses on helping people achieve overall wellness. She believes everyone can benefit from exercise and that it's very individual. Katrina has partnered with Dr. Barry Hendin to develop the MS Active Wellness fitness program, specifically for people with multiple sclerosis.
Katrina has a broad range of experience working with people of varying physical ability — from those who are in top physical condition to those who struggle with mobility, gait and range of motion. In addition to developing the MS Active Wellness fitness program and DVD for people with MS, she has worked with stroke victims, cancer patients, and people with other conditions, including congenital analgesia, fibromyalgia, and myasthenia gravis.
Katrina has filmed more than 200 fitness videos, and her YouTube videos have been viewed by more than 14 million people. In addition, she has been featured by Glamour magazine as a favorite online fitness expert, and has also appeared on Parent TV, hosting various post-natal health, nutrition and cooking segments. She is a contributing trainer to Women's Health magazine, and has also appeared in American Fitness Magazine, Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine, The Bostonian, Boston Now Magazine, The Washington Post and CBSNews.com. From 2006-2008, Katrina was a master trainer for various elite sports clubs in Boston and was named one of the most influential trainers in Massachusetts in 2008.
In 2009, Katrina teamed up with personal trainer Karena Dawn to develop an online fitness channel that features workout videos, cooking segments and a lifestyle series.
Katrina Hodgson was contracted by Biogen Idec to develop the MS Active Wellness fitness program.
