Looking Ahead

When it comes to the future, it's important to keep things in perspective. Will MS impact your future? Most likely. Does it have to control you? Absolutely not. Understanding that MS will be there, and being ready to adapt as necessary, can help you stay positive and help to keep you looking forward. Here are some other things you can do when thinking about your future.

  • Keep a list of goals and cross them off as you accomplish them. Then add more.
  • Plan ahead, whether it's a trip or things you need to do around the house.
  • Develop a network of friends with MS so that you have another support system you can count on.
  • Also try to keep in touch with your friends without MS, so that you can maintain a support system of people who know you well.
