About Dr. Arnett
Dr. Peter Arnett is the Director of Clinical Training and Associate Professor of Psychology at Penn State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992. Dr. Arnett is the Director of the Neuropsychology of Sports-Related Concussion and Multiple Sclerosis programs at Penn State University and is a fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN). He is the author of over 80 research articles and book chapters, as well as over 160 conference presentations.
He is a licensed psychologist, with an expertise in clinical neuropsychology. Much of his work involves investigating the factors that influence cognitive performance in MS patients, including the connection of emotional health to cognition. His research is investigating the relationship between depression and cognitive dysfunction in people living with MS. He also has been exploring the possible influence of a secondary factor involved in cognitive performance in MS patients—oral motor speed.
Dr. Arnett is engaged as a consultant for Biogen Idec.
Dr. Arnett lives in State College, PA with his wife, Melissa, and their two children.
