Maintaining a regular exercise program is one of the smartest things you can do for your MS. It can help keep your weight down, increase your strength, and boost your energy. It can also be a lot of fun.
Fitness and wellness coach Katrina Hodgson and leading neurologist and MS specialist Dr. Barry Hendin created a fitness program, Fitness with Katrina, for people with MS at all levels of ability. Exercise, combined with a proper diet may help you manage both the emotional and physical symptoms of MS.
The Fitness with Katrina DVD contains three workouts for people with MS at different levels of ability. All of the participants in the DVD are also living with MS.
- Vitalize Workout is a great way to start your exercise regimen because the entire workout is performed from a chair.
- Energize Workout uses a chair for balance and features some more advanced exercises while seated, standing, and on the floor.
- Maximize Workout is a full-body workout and great on those days when you'd really like to challenge yourself.
