The Experts Behind MyMS Yoga With MyMS Yoga

Two world-renowned authorities — Baron Baptiste, known by millions for his innovative approaches to yoga, and Dr. Elliot Frohman, a neurologist who specializes in treating people with multiple sclerosis — have collaborated to create the MyMS Yoga program.

Baron Baptiste

Baron BaptisteBaron Baptiste has helped to transform yoga in America. His simplified approach has impacted the lives of thousands who have learned to use yoga as a means to self-empowerment.

His television special, "Transform Your Life with Baron Baptiste," features 40 people with no previous yoga experience. It has been seen on PBS stations in almost every market in the United States, the Caribbean and Canada. He has also appeared on the "Today Show," "Regis & Kelly," and "CNN Headline News" to spread his message that yoga can be adapted by anyone, at any level, to enhance their lives.

Over the last eight years, Baron has founded three yoga schools in Boston that have quickly become among the busiest in the United States. Each day more than 600 students pass through the Baptiste Power Yoga Institutes and there are more than 30 affiliated studios around the world.

Baron is the author of the bestselling book Journey into Power, and he has created many other self-help tools such as 40 Days to Personal Revolution. Most recently, he also wrote the best-selling children's book My Daddy is a Pretzel.

Dr. Elliot Frohman

Dr. Elliot FrohmanElliot Frohman M.D., Ph.D., FAAN, is one of the world's leading authorities on the management of multiple sclerosis. He is the director of the Multiple Sclerosis Program & Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Center at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he is also a professor of neurology and ophthalmology. In addition, he is the Irene Wadel and Robert Atha Distinguished Chair in Neurology and holds the Kenney Marie Dixon-Pickens Distinguished Professorship in Multiple Sclerosis Research.

Since 2001, Dr. Frohman has received federal funding for a comprehensive multiple sclerosis treatment training program at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine at Dallas, in collaboration with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. More than 800 neurologists from all 50 states have been trained since the program's inception. Dr. Frohman, who is board certified in psychiatry and neurology, has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.

He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Irvine. He subsequently completed his residency and fellowship training in neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he is a former chief resident.

Baron Baptiste and Dr. Elliot Frohman were contracted by Biogen Idec to develop the MyMS Yoga program.
